"All there is to writing is having ideas. To learn to write is to learn to have ideas." -Robert Frost
"What language should I say **** in today?"
All language learners will eventually use their L2 out in the real world, but what happens when they are in a situation and they have to express their emotions but don't know what to say. This paper focuses on the importance of learning "emotional" words, sociopragmatics, and the strong connection these learners can create with their second language. |

"I am who I write"
Writing has always given me the opportunity to express myself as an individual and as a second language learner myself. Writing in another language can be difficult because you want to sound like yourself in your writing, but at the same time you want to sound like a native writer as well. In this paper I have focused on the importance of self-representation, creating an authorial identity in second language writing, and also how blogs can connect the writer to their cultural identity. |
